My TBR shelf. :)

Anna just posted a blog about her 'tbr' list - http://annavivian.blogspot.com/. I thought it was time that I gave you guys a peek at my 'tbr' shelf.

Of course, being technologically challenged - I had to get my daughter to upload the picture from the camera. (sheesh)

So here it is. Please disregard the purple plaque hanging on the wall - it says "It ain't easy being Queen" - a gift from my sister. LOL

The top 2 shelves are mass market paperbacks, the 3rd shelf is trade paperbacks. The 4th shelf is hardbacks and the 5th shelf is my paperback thriller/mysteries. I have a total of 195 books that I need to read. LOL And they keep putting more out every week....

Anna,

Thank you. :)

Patti,

Yes. I have a twin book case to the left of this one - I have all of my keeper hardbacks on it. :)

Tynga,

I think I have about 200 books on my wish list on PBS. I have no idea how long my wish list is for new releases. I keep a notebook in my desk that has them in order by the release date.

VFG,

Thank you. :) The books shelves are one of the first things my Hubby bought me after we were married. :) I've had them for almost 18 years now.

Lea,

They only look that neat cause Hubby and I moved the furniture around over the weekend and I had to take everything off of the shelves. Before that they were just stuck willy nilly every which way. :)

Amy,

Thank you. I would like a new book case for my keeper books - the one I have now is a hand me down from my sister and it's white - doesn't quite go with the dark wood of the ones I have. But it holds my books and that's what's important. But..I could always ask for one at Christmas. :) Hubby helped me take all the books off and put them back on - so he kinda knows how many I have. When I said 195 he said that should hold me for a couple of years. NOT. LOL He is a sweetie though and has been known to bring me books that he knows I've been eyeing. :)

Thanks for stopping by ladies.

Cecile,

I think I may have mentioned after you posted a pic of your closet that I have some of my keeper YA books in my sons closet. LOL He wasn't using the top shelf - so I thought, why not. :) I hope you have a great day. :)

Mandi,

I love looking at other peoples books we well. :) I like to see what we have in common. I took some close up pics of my shelves and you can better see the titles of the books - but I didn't post them right now....that might be good for a later post. As for the Kindle - I haven't decided if that is right for me...I like the look and oddly, the smell - of books too much to give them up for an electronic book just yet. :) But I'm all for those who enjoy it - I've heard it's much more portable and easier to pick up where you've left off. :)

B,

Too many books? There is no such thing. LOL

Have a wonderful day ladies and thanks for stopping by.

Your bookcase is orderly and tidy. I like it! Can you come fix mine up? I have three bookcases that are in a state of disarray. But on a good note, I know where is find each book. There is an order to my madness plus the unevenness of the books keeps my hubby from knowing when I put new books in there. :)
