I had not heard of Jeyn Roberts - so adding that to my list. I already had Maberry on my list - I've heard great things about his series.

Kara,

I have read the first book by Grant - but for me, the focus was not really on the zombies, they were more of an after thought - or a means to another end. But I do have the second installment on my list. I don't like to give up on a series after only one book. Unless it's really a stinker. LOL I had not heard of Carrie Ryan - so that's been put on the list. :)

B,

:) My husband just laughed when I told him it was gonna be a zombie Christmas. LOL

Thank you ladies for all of your help.

MMichelle Greathousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06175297774187025193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172215114455604739.post-7317483847930490382011-12-04T09:57:48.869-05:002011-12-04T09:57:48.869-05:00I do fear you have read the few I have read ;=)I do fear you have read the few I have read ;=)Blodeueddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03435479623560871881noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172215114455604739.post-41735552847635672702011-12-04T07:26:53.354-05:002011-12-04T07:26:53.354-05:00I second Mira Grant, her books are awesome. Carrie Ryan trilogy is very good as well.
Love zombie pin up girl, Michelle! :)kara-karina@Nocturnal Book Reviewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11262585710463536717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172215114455604739.post-75218047584406469422011-12-04T06:19:01.993-05:002011-12-04T06:19:01.993-05:00Surprisingly, but I've found myself loving zom...Surprisingly, but I've found myself loving zombie books now :) If someone had asked me more than a year ago if I might love zombie books as much as I do now, I would've said "Probably not". ;) Anyway, one of my top favs are Jonathan Maberry's Benny Imura series (#1 Rot & Ruin; #2 Dust & Decay) - both are amazing! These are YA & also I've heard that his Joe Ledger series are amazing, too (not YA), although still haven't gotten around to them. I loved Sophie Littlefield's Aftertime, it was really good, although still haven't read the 2 sequels, but I'm planning to read them soon. Isaac Marion's Warm Bodies was surprisingly good & interesting (and different than the synopsis suggests) & Jeyn Roberts' Dark Inside although not really with zombies, it's quite good apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic book. Others I've heard that are good (and are on my tbr list, too) are: Mira Grant's Newsflesh trilogy; Jesse Petersen's Married with Zombies series; Madeleine Roux's Allison Hewitt Is Trapped; The Reapers are the Angels by Alden Bell & World War Z by Max Brooks. Hope that helps :) I'm actually planning to sign-up for Book Chick City's Zombie Reading Challenge in 2012, so I can read more zombie books ;) Happy shopping & reading :)Aleksandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11781896546785210965noreply@blogger.com
