This is the first book in the Sons of Destiny series by Jean Johnson and the story of Saber and Kelly.
Book Blurb:
Eight brothers, born in four sets of twins, two years apart to the day - they fulfill the Curse of Eight Prophecy.
To avoid tempting Destiny, they're exiled to Nightfall Isle, where females are forbidden. But when the youngest of the mage-brothers rescues a woman from another universe, their world is altered forever.
Kelly Doyle had wanted to get away from the world. Threatened, attacked, and accused of witchcraft, Kelly had enough of her narrow-minded small town. And now she has somehow landed in another, magical dimension-the only woman in a realm inhabited by eight men who are desperately in need of a woman's touch.
With Kelly in their midst, Saber, the eldest of the eight, is forced to confront the Curse that plagues them - if he falls in love, disaster is imminent. But in the aftermath of an attack, and despite the threatening Prophecy, Saber and Kelly's passion only grows stronger.
I loved this book. :) Kelly is smart and fun - independent to a fault and stubborn to boot. Saber is a grumble monkey - a hot one, but a grumble monkey none the less.
This book is full of witty banter - a little action, a little romance and characters that seem to come alive. :)
I have the 2nd and 3rd book on the TBR shelf and can't wait to get to them (and get the rest of the series).
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars. :)

I enjoy this series too. I have the last book to read. I'm hoping to get to it sometime this coming week.
Anna,
I did not know you had read this series...I've never seen you mention it before. LOL Glad to know you like it. :) I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. I noticed that Ms. Johnson has a new book coming out this year - I wonder if this is a start to a new series.

Yep, I started reading it when it first came out. I don't know much about the new book, but what the cover looks like. I do think its a new series, maybe set in the same world.
I liked The Sword. Gave it a five out of five rating. Then I read The Wolf. Gave a four. Then it just went downhill from there. After The Song, I stopped reading. How would you rate the series as a whole M? If the rest of the series is good then I might pick it up again.
Hi Michelle!
Great review! The Sword sounds fun and interesting. I love magically tstories.
Dottie :)
Cherry,
So far I've only read the first one - with the next 2 on the TBR shelf. I will post a blog about them as I go along.
Dottie,
This book had plenty of magic in it - some of it was actually funny. LOL
