Small Favor

This is the tenth book in the Harry Dresden series by Jim Butcher.

Book Blurb:

No one's tried to kill Harry Dresden for almost an entire year, and his life finally seems to be calming down. For once, the future looks fairly bright. But the past casts one hell of a long shadow.

An old bargain has placed Harry in debt to Mab, monarch of the Winter Court of the Sidhe, the Queen of Air and Darkness-and she's calling in her marker. It's a small favor he can't refuse...one that will trap Harry Dresden between a nightmarish foe and an equally deadly ally, and one that will strain his skills-and loyalties-to their very limits.

It figures. Everything was going too well to last...

It always amazes me the trouble that Harry gets himself mixed up with - seemingly by accident. He just hangs out, doing his own thing and wham - things start trying to kill him.

What is even more amazing is how Harry gets himself out of that trouble alive (well, more alive than dead - but it was close a time or two).

I love this series. I watched the short lived sci/fi series and thought it was pretty good as well - now when I read the books, I picture Harry as that actor from the show. Nice visual. :)

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Small Favor was really good. I listened to the audio. James Marsters does a good Harry too. :)

Anna,

I have never listened to an audio book. I don't know if I would like it - I don't like to listen to people read aloud. LOL It drives B crazy - she is always wanting to read stuff to me and I tell her to just give it to me and let me read it myself. LOL

LOL! I don't like being read to either. But I love audio books. If there is a real good narrator doing they reading, they bring the book to life even more.

Hi Michelle!

You know I really love Harry Dresden, I've re-watched all show on hulu....too much fun.

Anna's comment about James Marster: I bet he would be so good as Harry Dresden, he's got such a sweet distinctive voice.

My kids love me to read aloud, but I don't really like it either. But audiobooks are like a mini movie for your brain. It really brings the book to life. You know, like you said, the books come alive with the characters from the show, it's the same thing with audiobooks, it like watching a movie with just your ears, and the characters come to life.
