This is a very good series. :) In the beginning it got a little bogged down with the baby powder folks (you will have no idea what I'm talking about - but I don't want to give anything away) but then the stories smoothed out and it is an awesome series.
I've heard nothing but good about JR Ward. But still haven't read any of her books yet. I wonder if it is okay to start with this one or should the books be read in order?

I would think that this book could be read as a stand alone - but in order to really appreciate the group dynamic - I would start with the first book.
