Series Promo: Tattoo Shop Mystery

I came across these books when I was looking around for new releases/covers. I have not read this first book - but I absolutely love the covers on both. I was interested enough to place the first one on my wish list. :)

Book Blurb:

Murder leaves a mark

Brett Kavanaugh is a tattoo artist and owner of an elite tattoo parlor in Las Vegas.

When a girl makes an appointment for a tattoo of the name of her fiancé embedded in a heart, Brett takes the job but the girl never shows. The next thing Brett knows, the police are looking for her client, and the name she wanted on the tattoo isn't her fiancé's...

And

Book Blurb:

Murder in the city of sin...

Brett Kavanaugh is a tattoo artist and owner of Vegas's hottest tattoo shop, The Painted Lady. And in her spare time, she does some sleuthing.

After Brett and company ink Sin City's newest drag queens, they're invited to opening night at the strip's glamorous Nylon and Tattoos show-which ends in disaster when a stranger with a Queen of Hearts tattoo fatally injures Britney Brassieres with a champagne cork. And when another drag queen is found poisoned, it looks like someone's targeting Vegas's fabulous femmes...

Book 2- Pretty In Ink - is due out 03-02-2010.

These sound like fun, quirky reads. But again, I love the covers. :)

I agree, the covers are great. Tattoo stories seem to be getting popular, I've seen some books out involving tattoo shops.

Tamsyn,

I've read one by Lori Devoti - Amazon Ink - it was pretty good. :) But that is the only other one I'm familiar with. LOL I guess it was just a matter of time until that market was tapped. :)

The covers are great! I am one of those people that read a book because of the cover first! LOL

I love getting in on a series when it's just starting. I look this one up too. The titles are sure a grabber, lol. The other book that hit my radar was Inked, tattoos have even found their place with the heroines.
