Review: Angels' Blood

This is the first book in the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh.

Book Blurb:

Nalini Singh introduces readers to a world of beauty and bloodlust, where angels hold sway over vampires.

Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux is hired by the dangerously beautiful Archangel Raphael. But this time, it's not a wayward vamp she has to track. It's an archangel gone bad.

The job will put Elena in the midst of a killing spree like no other - and pull her to the razor's edge of passion. Even if the hunt doesn't destroy her, succumbing to Raphael's seductive touch just may. For when archangels play, mortals break.

Elena Devereaux was born a Hunter - but she is unique, she has the ability to scent and distinguish from that scent - vampires. This makes her job as a Hunter just a little easier.

Normally Elena's job is to track and apprehend a new vampire who has decided to go out on his/her own and return them - unharmed - to their Master.

Raphael is the archangel of New York and he is in need of Elena's unique ability to track by scent. But the archangel is not accustomed to sharing information - or explaining the reason why he wants something done. When he says 'jump' - his people say 'how high'.

And that is not how Elena operates.

What happens when a centuries old angel butts heads with a stubborn mortal woman?

Sparks fly - and someone is bound to get burned.

I give Angels' Blood 5 out of 5 stars. :)

B,

How sneaky of you. LOL I do that with my Mom sometimes. 'Hey, did you see the new book by so and so and the store? I might have to get that one.' And then she calls and says I picked up that book - you can read it when I finish. :) It is a win/win.

Danielle,

It had been on my shelf for a while as well. I have the sequel to this one and the last 2 books in her Psy/Changeling series up there too. I have to re-arrange my shelves again - I keep forgetting what I have. I can't wait to read your thoughts on it.

Have a wonderful evening ladies.
