Review: Touched by an Alien

Touched by an Alien is the first book in the DAW sci/fi Katherine "Kitty" Katt series by Gini Koch.

Book Blurb:

How can a sexy marketing manager join forces with an Alpha Centauri male in Armani to save the planet-using hairspray, a Mont Blanc pen, and rock n' roll?

Easy...

She's Touched by an Alien

Marketing manager Katherine "Kitty" Katt steps into the middle of what appears to be a domestic dispute turned ugly. And it only gets uglier when the man turns into a winged monster, straight out of a grade-Z horror movie, and goes on a killing spree. Though Kitty should probably run away, she springs into action to take the monster down.

In the middle of the chaos a handsome hunk named Jeff Martini appears, sent by the "agency" to perform crowd control. He's Kitty's kind of guy, no matter what planet he's from. And from now on, for Kitty, things are going to be sexy, dangerous, wild, and out of this world.

Touched by an Alien is a good read. :)

When I read the blurb on the back of the book I thought to myself - this could be fun. And I was right.

Touched by an Alien is full of action, wit, quirky characters, steamy sex and really ugly monsterlike creatures - I had a blast reading it.

Kitty Katt - yes indeed, has lived a fairly normal life - but all of that was shot the day she saw a seemingly average guy transform into a huge monster and start killing people. What amazed Kitty even more than the monster was the fact that she was running towards it with the intent to stop it.

To cap off her day Kitty meets Jeff Martini - a drop dead gorgeous male who just happens to be from another planet. When Jeff and company tell Kitty what is happening and ask for her help Kitty has no choice but to comply - and really, the perks of the job are out of this world.

Touched by an Alien was delightful and I give it 4 out of 5 stars. I can't wait for the next installment - Alien Tango, due out December of 2010.

Danielle,

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. :) Kitty is so much more than her name implies. LOL And her parents? That was just great. I really like all of the characters in this book. Well, all the good guys. :)

My favorite part about Kitty is how she is so "accidentally badassed"

I think if she was that awesome on purpose she wouldn't be near as much fun.

However it's Christopher that stole my heart. Not Martini. :D

I LOVE this book and I am with all of you, December is too far away. I also think two will not be enough! While cocky flirt Martini stole my heart, I to adored Christopher. There's a third book in there, isn't there?
Am I the only one whose purse is very much like Kitty's?
