Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. :) We lazed around this weekend - watching movies and reading. :) It was very nice. LOL
Here is a book I received from pbs.
Book Blurb:
What has she done? With a new identity, a staged death, and a chance to flee the treachery that stalks her, Rachael has escaped from a faceless assassin. Now, thousands of miles from home, under the lush canopy of the rain forest, she's found sanctuary.
Where can she hide? In this world teeming with unusual creatures walks the most exotic of them all. His name is Rio. A native of the forest imbued with a fierce prowess, he is something to be desired. Possessed of secrets of his own, he is something to be feared.
Whom can she trust? But as Rachael's past looms as oppressively as the heat of the forest, and as Rio unleashes the secret animal instincts that course through his blood, Rachael fears that her isolated haven has become an inescapable hell...
I tried a Feehan book once before - one of the Carpathian novels - and it wasn't my cuppa. But I saw a review for one of the books in this series and thought I give it a try. :)

I just borrowed this book from the library! I'm with you on her 'Dark' series - I don't really understand why they're so popular. I couldn't get through the first book of that series. But I'll give 'Wild Rain' a chance.
I have tried both series and cant get in to her way of writing. I not only give one book a chance I have tired a few of them. Hope you like it. Happy Reading!
I hope you like this one better then :)
Happy reading
Danielle,
Great minds. :)
Laurie,
Well now I don't hold out much hope for this series either. LOL I admire you for not giving up with the first book like I did. :)
B,
I do too. :)
Have a wonderful day ladies.

Her work is hit and miss with me. I wish I could remember the novel of hers that I really enjoyed but the name utterly escapes me at the moment. Anyway, I mainly popped in to ask what pbs means . . . you get books from the Public Broadcasting System? ;) Clearly, we have different meanings for that acronym.
ALM,
No, pbs is the public broadcasting system. LOL But when it comes to books - pbs stands for Paper Back Swap.

I absolutely love it. It is a great way to try new authors - or new to me authors. And if I don't like the book - I can just relist it and send it off to someone who might love it.

Ah! Well now that makes sense. :) I will have to check it out. (Like I really need to further feed my book addiction!)
