Review: Frost Moon

Frost Moon is the first book in the Skindancer series by Anthony Francis and a Dark Fantasy by Bell Bridge Books.

Book Blurb:

Her magic will get under your skin.
Her story will fill your imagination.

Dakota Frosts enthralling saga begins...

In an alternate Atlanta where magic is practiced openly, where witches sip coffee at local cafes, shapeshifters party at urban clubs, vampires rule the southern night like gangsters, and mysterious creatures command dark caverns beneath the city.

Dakota Frost's talents are coveted by all. She's the best magical tattooist in the southeast, a Skindancer, able to bring her amazing tats to life.

When a serial killer begins stalking Atlanta's tattooed elite, the police and the Feds seek Dakota's help. Can she find the killer on the dark fringe of the city's Edgeworld? Among its powerful outcasts and tortured loners, what kind of enemies and allies will she attract? Will they see her as an invader, as a seducer, as an unexpected champion...or as delicious prey?

Frost Moon was a very good read. :)

Dakota Frost is a magical tattooist - able to imbue her beautiful tattoos with magic, she is sought after by hard core individuals looking for the best tattoos around - and her work does not come cheap.

But she has a right to be proud of the work she has done - especially on herself. If you ask nicely, Dakota will show you her dragon tattoo - and if you are lucky, you can see it move.

When a werewolf asks Dakota to ink him with a tattoo that should help him control his beast - Dakota does a little research to make sure the tat is safe - because inking an unknown tattoo could cause more harm than good. What starts out as another day at the office - ends in murder - both attempted and committed.

I enjoyed Frost Moon quite a bit and give it 4 out of 5 stars. I'm looking forward to the next installment in the series, Skindancer - Blood Rock.

WonderBunny,

Thanks for stopping by. I was not aware of this book and just happened to see it at the book store. I am very glad I picked it up. I hope you enjoy it too. :)

B,

And her tattoos are magic - so the dragon moves. LOL

Susi,

Thank you. I can't wait for your thoughts on it.

Anna,

I agree. I don't think I've read anything with this premise before. :) It is always good to read something 'new' or with a new twist. :)

Have a wonderful day everyone.
