Happy Hour of the Damned is the first book in the Amanda Feral series by Mark Henry and a Kensington Fantasy.
Book Blurb:
The thing no one tells you about dying is just how much fun it can be.
Alive, ad exec Amanda Feral worked hard to wring enjoyment out of her days. Now that she's a zombie, it's a different story. Turns out, Seattle is home to glamorous undead of every description, and Amanda - stylish and impeccably groomed even in the afterlife - is swigging cocktails and living large (so to speak) among its elite.
But there are downsides. Not being able to stomach anything except alcohol and human flesh, for instance. And the fact that someone is targeting Seattle's otherworldly inhabitants for their own sinister reasons.
Preying on the undead is seriously uncool. The only option is for Amanda and her zombie BFF Wendy and gorgeous gay vampire pal Gil to unearth the culprit among the legions of Seattle's bloodsuckers, shapeshifters, reapers, succubi, and demons - before they all meet a fate a lot worse than death...
Happy Hour of the Damned is one of the funniest books I have ever read. :)
Amanda Feral is going about her day - working for a living and doing a great job as an ad exec - when the unthinkable happens, she is turned into a zombie.
Not one to let a little thing like being undead slow her down - Amanda goes about her business - hoping no one will notice her room temperature skin and gray pallor.
Meeting new friends Gil and Wendy throws Amanda into the nightlife of the undead - clubbing and drinking til all hours of the night. Everything is fun until another friend goes missing and Amanda takes it upon herself to find out what happened.
What follows is a hilarious account of one zombie's detective skills - or the lack thereof.
Happy Hour of the Damned is full of crude humor - it is like Sex in the Supernatural City meets Pinky and the Brain on a bender...and I loved every minute of it!!
I give Happy Hour of the Damned 5 out of 5 stars and I have the next 2 on the tbr shelf. :)

I have this book on my TBR shelf, heard great things about it, but your detailed review made me want to raed it. Humourous, funny paranormal novels are so scarce! This one sounds like a hilarious one! :-D
Great review! I have this book on TBB list for quiet some time now... and I have actually seen a few reviews for it and those reviews did nothing for me... but your review really got my interest going here...
Thanks!!!
Hope all is going well!
Meant to read this one since April bit I keep borrowing books from the library ;)
But now I have to!
Grr! I still have to read this one. It's been sitting in my Kindle for ages now - I haven't read a bad review of it, but I've just never been in the mood. lol
I will read it eventually!
Human flesh, really ? Sounds interesting. Maybe I'll give this one a try.
Stella,
I can't wait for your take on it. :)
Cecile,
Thank you. :) I hope you like it as much as I did.
B,
I like to giggle every now and then - and this one fits the bill.
Danielle,
One day, when it is rainy and you just need a good laugh - that's when you should grab it. :)
Kah,
Yep. She is a zombie - but I never knew they ate it all. LOL I always thought they were just after the brains. :)
Mr. Lonely,
Thank you for stopping by. :)
Have a wonderful day everyone.
