I really enjoyed Bayou Moon.
We met William in the first book, On the Edge, and he was a bit prickly - okay, unstable and angry - but interesting. I am so glad we found out more about him in Bayou Moon. I really like William and hope we see more of him in future installments.
Cerise has had a great deal of responsibility thrust upon her at a very young age - and now, with her parents missing - she has had to step up as the leader of her family. She is very smart - but in the Weird, magic is what sets a person apart - and Cerise has plenty of magic - lethal magic.
William is sent into the Weird to retrieve an artifact for The Mirror - Adrianglian Secret Service - and his mission leads him to Cerise and her family. William is not quite honest with Cerise about his mission - but he thinks that since they are working towards the same goal - he can get by without telling Cerise the whole truth.
What he didn't plan on was the attraction he feels for Cerise - or the attraction being returned.
I give Bayou Moon 4 out of 5 stars.
