Review: No Mercy by Sherrilyn Kenyon

No Mercy is the 27th book in the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon from St. Martin's Press.

Book Blurb:

In the heart and in the soul, evil takes its wicked toll.  When moonlight shines like flowing blood, over the earth, the Daimons will flood.

Live fast, fight hard and if you have to die then take as many of your enemies with you as you can. That is the Amazon credo and it was one Samia lived and died by. Now in contemporary New Orleans, the immortal Amazon warrior is about to learn that there's a worse evil coming to slaughter mankind than she's ever faced before.

Shapeshifter Dev Peltier has stood guard at the front of Sanctuary for almost two hundred years and in that time, he's seen it all. Or so he thought. Now their enemies have discovered a new source of power- one that makes a mockery of anything faced to date.

The war is on and Dev and Sam are guarding ground zero. But in order to win, they will have to break the most cardinal of all rules and pray it doesn't unravel the universe as we know it.

The Dark Hunters is one of my favorite series and I think Sherrilyn Kenyon rox!

Sam Savage is a Dark Hunter - but first she was an Amazon, their Queen to be exact.  When a terrible act of treachery took her life, as well as the lives of all she held dear - Samia cried out to Artemis.  Artemis offered her a deal - and for the price of her soul, made Sam a Dark Hunter.

Five thousand years later Sam shows up at Sanctuary and finds Devereaux Peltier working the door - as usual.  Dev is a bear shifter and his family owns and operates Sanctuary, one of the only gathering places in New Orleans for their kind.

Sam and her fellow 'Dogs of War' have been sent to New Orleans to guard and guide Nick Gautier.  But Nick - who is still reeling from all the changes in his life - bristles at anything Acheron does or says - so he wants nothing to do with the Dark Hunters that have been sent to help him.

But when Daimons start walking around in the sunlight and demons show up at the bar - Dev, Sam and the crew realize that it's all hands on deck.  Differences must be set aside for now and a united front presented to whoever - or whatever is knocking at the door.

No Mercy is another great installment to a kick a$$ series and I give it 5 out of 5 stars.  :)
