Review: Indulgence in Death by J D Robb

 

Indulgence in Death is the thirty-eight book in the In Death series by J D Robb and a Novel from Putnam.

Book Blurb:

My thoughts:

I absolutely love this series. :)

Eve and Roarke return from a much needed vacation rested and happy. After two years of marriage, Eve is still overwhelmed by her love for Roarke - and his love for her.

When Eve is tagged for a homicide - it is business as usual and she hits the ground running - only to run into more questions than answers.

Then another body shows up - and now there is a pattern, but it makes no sense - if only Eve could figure out what the victims have in common - she may be able to find her killer.

Eve and Peabody, along with Roarke, Feeney and the EDD crew use all the tools at their disposal to put the puzzle pieces together to catch the killer - before he can kill again.

The In Death series is one of my all time favorites. I don't think I will ever tire of reading about Eve and her crew. I love the way Eve looks at things - the way she is flabbergasted at times over the simple things - like a picnic or cook out - or, as a city girl - a rooster.

I love Ms. Robb's writing style and the way she uses humor to ease the horror of Eve's job. I have also grown to love the secondary characters - and to me, they are just as important as Eve and Roarke.

Peabody has grown and learned so much while working with Eve. She has become a very permanent fixture in Eve's life - as well as McNabb and Feeney and Trueheart and Baxter.

I can't wait for the next installment. :)
