Review: Hunt The Moon by Karen Chance

Hunt the Moon is the fifth book in the Cassandra Palmer series by Karen Chance and a Signet Select Novel.

Book Blurb:

Cassandra Palmer recently defeated a god, which you’d think would buy a girl a little time off.  But when your job is being Pythia - the world’s chief clairvoyant - you don’t get a lot of R & R.  Cassie is busier than ever, discovering her power, figuring out her complicated relationship with the enigmatic and sexy vampire Mircea, and preparing for her upcoming coronation.

But someone is dead set against Cassie’s becoming Pythia, and will go to any lengths to stop the coronation ceremony from happening - including making sure that Cassie is never born.

Now Cassie has to save herself - and the world, if she can find the time...

My thoughts:

Cassie Palmer can not catch a break.  She spent her entire childhood living in fear of upsetting the vampire who raised her after her parents death.  Then she found out that said vampire was responsible for her parents death and Cassie ran away.  She spent the next several years hiding from the goons sent to bring her back.

Now she has been thrust into a position she never wanted - Pythia, the world’s main clairvoyant.  But not everyone wants Cassie in that position - and they think the best thing to do is kill her.

Cassie’s boyfriend, Senate Vampire Mircea, thinks the best way to keep Cassie safe is by keeping her locked away in her Vegas suite with a dozen vampire guards.

Her actual guard, the Mage Pritkin, thinks that Cassie needs to learn to harness her powers so she can keep herself safe.

Needless to say, Mircea and Pritkin do not like or trust each other - and Cassie is caught in the middle of the two men in her life.

Chafing at the restrictions that have been placed upon her - Cassie makes a few decisions that put her in harms way and she is forced to use her powers to save herself and others - so maybe, Pritkin had the right idea...

Hunt the Moon reveals new information on the three main players in this series, Cassie, Mircea and Pritkin - and I think I am liking Pritkin more and more...

I give Hunt the Moon 5 out of 5 stars.

B,

I love this series. :) But I'm sure to make some angry cause I'm rooting for Pritkin and Cassie to get together. LOL

Kara-Karina,

I received it a little early - it doesn't come out here until 6-7. But this installment is worth the wait. :)

Jen,

I like it because it has so much action in it - and poor Cassie just moves from one predicament to the other. But she always seems to pull through in the end. :)

Thanks for stopping by ladies.
