Review: Tempted by Elisabeth Naughton

Tempted is the third book in the Eternal Guardians series by Elisabeth Naughton and a Paranormal Romance from SourceBooks Casablanca.

Book Blurb:

Demetrius - He’s the hulking, brooding warrior even his fellow Guardians avoid.  Too dark.  Too damaged.  And given his heritage, he knows it’s best to keep everyone at arm’s length.

Isadora is missing.  The words pound through his head like a frantic drumbeat.  For her own protection, Demetrius did all he could to avoid the fragile princess, his soul mate.  And now she’s gone - kidnapped.  To get her back, he’ll have to go to the black place in his soul he’s always shunned.

As daemons ravage the human realm and his loyalty to the Guardians is put to the ultimate test, Demetrius realizes that Isadora is stronger than anyone had thought.  And finally letting her into his heart may be the only way to save them both.

My thoughts:

Tempted picks up right where Entwined ended.

Isadora is distressed because her father has stated she will be bound to a Guardian not of her choosing.  And after having a vision that upsets her even more - she is determined to leave.  Trusting in her long time friend, Isadora leaves her home - only to find that she has been betrayed.

Now in the hands of someone more vile than she ever thought possible, Isadora is relieved when Demetrius shows up.

But things take an unexpected turn and Isadora is forced to see Demetrius for who and what he really is - and Isadora feels betrayed once again.

Demetrius is fighting to save himself as well as Isadora - whether she believes it or not - and Isadora is fighting for Demetrius - because she has fallen in love with him.

The Eternal Guardian series by Elisabeth Naughton is a wonderful series.  I love the world building and the alpha males with their equally kick ass counterparts.

Tempted is the latest installment in this must read series.

I give Tempted 5 out of 5 stars.
