Blog Tour: The Lost by Caridad Pineiro (Review)

The Lost is the first book in the Sin Hunters series by Caridad Pineiro and a Paranormal Romance from Forever.

Book Blurb:

Adam Bruno is no ordinary millionaire. The heir to an ancient race possessing a dark, powerful magic, he can shapeshift and create energy. His gifts make him a living weapon and have forced him to live in seclusion. But now an inhuman force hunts down Adam-just when he finds someone who makes him feel more human than he ever imagined possible . . .

Home from combat in Iraq, Bobbie Carerra wants only peace, yet soon joins Adam in a terrifying battle against paranormal enemies who hide in plain sight. She's drawn to his strength of mind and body; he's attracted to her courage and intoxicating energy.

Their scorching passion can either transport them to the heights of ecstasy or-if Adam's powers rage out of control-destroy them. But when an invisible brotherhood tightens its nets and someone Adam trusts betrays him, only a heartrending decision can save them.

My thoughts:

Adam Bruno was ‘found’ in the desert as a small boy.  Taken in, adopted, and raised by the man who found him - Adam has always wondered about who and what he really is.  Though his adoptive father is supportive of the abilities Adam possesses - he doesn’t understand them, and can’t help Adam understand them either.

Bobbie Carrerra survived in Iraq when the rest of her platoon perished.  She is determined to make the most of the second chance that life has given her.  When she meets Adam Bruno, she sees in him a kindred spirit, the person who will complete her.

But the road to happiness is a rocky one for these two: Adam will face betrayal of the worst kind - and though Bobbie has his back in all things, there are those who think the two should not be together, and others who want them dead.

The Lost is the first book I have read by Caridad Pineiro and I enjoyed it.

I give The Lost 3 out of 5 stars.
