Review: Blood Sin by Marie Treanor
Blood Sin is the second book in the Awakened By Blood series by Marie Treanor and a Paranormal Romance from Signet Eclipse.
Book Blurb:
Even if you stand in the light, you can dwell in the dark.
Months after her dangerous encounter with vampire overlord Saloman, Scottish academic Elizabeth Silk is still trying to cope with both the demands of her ancestral bloodline - which marks her as a vampire hunter - and the overpowering desire she feels for the immortal she brought back from the grave.
But she is not alone in her fascination with Saloman.
Even as her enemies and allies shift their allegiances and battle for supremacy, Elizabeth must decide which will rule her own perilous fate: unwanted loyalty or unholy love.
My thoughts:
Elizabeth Silk has returned to Scotland with a completed thesis. She is now waiting to find out if it is good enough to garner her a PhD.
Ever mindful of the promise she made to the vampire hunters in Romania, Elizabeth is trying to contact her American cousin, Josh, to warn him of the danger he is in simply because of his bloodline.
When Josh turns up in Scotland, Elizabeth is able to make contact - and though Josh finds her fascinating, her tale of vampires leads him to believe she’s lost a few marbles.
Josh is in possession of an antique sword, a sword that has been in his family for years - a sword that has come to the attention of several people - all of whom want the sword for themselves.
Most notably is Saloman, who now styles himself Adam Simon - a very successful businessman. The sword is rightfully his - and he wants it back.
Elizabeth thought she had seen the last of Saloman - though in her secret thoughts she longs for him. Now she is torn - the vampire hunter in her wants to eliminate Saloman, while the woman in her - just wants him.
I give Blood Sin 4 out of 5 stars.
