Review: Unleashed by Sara Humphreys

Unleashed is the first book in The Amoveo Legacy series by Sara Humphreys and a Romance from SourceBooks Casablanca.

Book Blurb:

What if you suddenly discovered your own powers were beyond anything you’d ever imagined...

Samantha Logan’s childhood home has always been a have, but everything changed while she was away.  She has a gorgeous new neighbor who introduces her to the amazing world of the dream-walking, shapeshifting Amoveo clans...but what leaves her reeling with disbelief is when he tells her she’s one of them...

But shock turns to terror as Samantha falls prey to the deadly enemy determined to destroy the Amoveo, and the only chance she has to come into her true powers is to trust in Malcolm to show her the way...

My thoughts:

Samantha Logan never knew her parents - they died in an accident when she was six months old.
She knows nothing of her Amoveo heritage, or the fact that her father was a full blood Amoveo who married Sam’s human mother.

That makes Samantha a hybrid and vulnerable.

The Caedo are known enemies of the Amoveo and they will stop at nothing to find and destroy any and all Amoveo they can - like they did to Sam’s parents.

But there is a more sinister enemy among the Amoveo - one that is unknown.  Purist Amoveo who are against human/Amoveo matings - and they hold no loyalty to Samantha or her full blood mate, Malcolm.

Unleashed is the first book I have read by Sara Humphreys and I enjoyed it.

I like the fact that the Amoveo are ten clans of shifters - I’m hoping for a book from each shifter clan.

I give Unleashed 4 out of 5 stars.
