Review: Immortal Rider by Larissa Ione

Immortal Rider is the second book in the Lords of Deliverance series by Larissa Ione and a Paranormal Romance from Grand Central Publishing.

Book Blurb:

Sexy, powerful, and immortal, Limos is on a crash course with destiny.  She’s been marked as Satan’s bride and her jealous fiancĂ© wants her all to himself.  The only way this Horseman can keep herself - and everyone else - safe is to keep her distance.

Arik Wagner knows the saying ‘love hurts’ better than most, yet he never thought stealing a kiss from Limos would land him in Hell.  Literally.  It tales all his military training to survive the demon torture, but once he’s topside, Arik realizes that the agony has just begun.

With the Apocalypse looming and Satan demanding his bride, will Arik and Limos surrender to the desire smoldering between them?  Or will giving in to their passion unleash hell on earth?

My thoughts:

Limos, the only female Horseman, has waited five thousand years for a man’s touch.  Not by choice - but with fear of ending up as Satan’s bride.  As long as she stays untouched - Satan can’t claim her.

Too bad she didn’t tell Arik that little bit of info...

Arik, a human soldier with the paranormal R-XR, is accustomed to seeing all kinds of beings in his line of work.  Demons, wargs, vamps..but Limos has given him pause.  She is beautiful and he is attracted.

Giving in to that attraction, Arik steals a kiss - and all hell breaks loose - literally.

Dragged to Sheol, Arik spends a month being tortured by demons before he escapes.  But his escape is planned not by his allies - but his enemy.  Everyone’s enemy - Pestilence - and Pestilence doesn’t do anything out of the goodness of his heart.

Now Arik and Limos are fighting both Pestilence and Satan - as well as trying to find Limos’ agimortus before her Seal breaks and the world is one step closer to the Apocalypse.

All that because of one little kiss....

The Lords of Deliverance is one of my top ten favorite series and Immortal Rider rocks out loud.

I give Immortal Rider 5 out of 5 stars and can’t wait for the next installment, Lethal Rider, coming in June of 2012.
