New York to Dallas is the thirty-third installment in the In Death series by J D Robb and a novel from Putnam Adult.

My thoughts:
For once Eve has nothing more pressing to do than paper work - no one has died under suspicious circumstances, no active case is keeping her up at night. As a matter of fact, Eve is a little bored.
All that changes when she is called to a very well known address, well known to her and the NYPSD. Twelve years ago Eve played a crucial role in bringing down Isaac McQueen and throwing him in a cage.
Unbelievably Isaac escaped that cage and walked right back into Eve’s life. He wants to take her on one more time - prove he is the better man. But he wants Eve on his terms, on his turf.
Isaac heads to Dallas, Texas - a place that holds nothing but nightmares for Eve. Isaac gives Eve only hours to follow him to Dallas and she is determined to stop him before he can harm anyone else.
Taking only Roarke with her, Eve must work side by side with both the Dallas PD and the FBI - not something she is looking forward to doing.
Both Isaac and Dallas bring back horrible memories for Eve - and if that weren’t enough - Eve confronts another person from her past - one she thought she’d never see again.
The combination of it all will test even Eve’s considerable strength.
The In Death series is one of my all time favorites. I look forward to each installment.

I'm a fan of the In Death series too! :) I haven't read them all yet though only like the first 15 or so.
