Review: Stud by Cheryl Brooks

Stud is the eighth book in the Cat Star Chronicles by Cheryl Brooks and a Paranormal Romance from SourceBooks Casablanca.

Book Blurb:

They’re galaxies apart...

Even for a Zetithian, Tarq Zulveidione’s sexual prowess is legendary.  Believing it’s all he’s good for, Tarq sets out to perpetuate his threatened species by offering his services to women across the galaxy...

But one force can bring them together...

Loucinda Force is the sensitive dark horse in a self-absorbed family, repeatedly told that no man will ever want such a plain woman.  Lucy longs for romance, but is resigned to her loveless lot in life - until Tarq walks through the door of her father’s restaurant on Talus Five...

My thoughts:

Tarq is part owner in the wildly popular Zetithian brothel on Rhylos - his services have made him a very rich man.  He is one of only a small number of Zetithian’s to escape the destruction of their home world.

Hoping to help re-populate his species, Tarq has fathered more than 500 children with various women - leaving the children to be raised by their mother and surrogate father.

Tarq has arrived on Talus Five and he is offering his services free of charge to those women who are willing to have his children - which more often than not, come in three’s.

Loucinda Force has given up on any type of relationship with a man.  Those few young men who were interested in her in school gave up after meeting her overbearing father.

She spends her days working at her father’s restaurant and her evenings taking care of her hypochondriac mother.  But when she sees Tarq, she devises a plan.  A plan that may finally give her what she’s always desired.

Children of her own.  And freedom.

The Cat Star Chronicles is a very tongue in cheek, over the top series that focuses on the sexy Zetithian.  I love it.

I give Stud 4 out of 5 stars.
