Review: Real Vampire's Hate Skinny Jeans by Gerry Bartlett

Real Vampires Hate Skinny Jeans is the eighth book in the Glory St. Clair series by Gerry Bartlett and a Berkley Paranormal Romance.

Blurb:

Someone is eating for two...

Full-figured vampire Glory St. Clair thinks things are finally going her way. She's no longer possessed by a demon, the legions of hell aren't on her tail, and her love life is heating up since she managed to reconnect with her maker-and longtime lover-Jeremy Blade.

When a pregnant demon shows up on her doorstep, Glory knows that everything is about to go to hell. Alesa is claiming that the baby she's carrying is Rafe's, conceived while she was inhabiting Glory's body. A clever trap? Or could it be true?

Booties and bibs are the last thing on Glory's mind when she discovers dark secrets from her own forgotten past. Who is she? What is she? And how will the men in her life deal with the fact that she may be more powerful than she knew? One thing is certain. Glory has way more to worry about than fitting into her favorite pair of jeans...

My thoughts:

Glory St. Clair has always loved being a vampire - but she has also wished a few things were different.  She’d love to be able to eat solid food again and lose those pesky five pounds that bother her.  And it would be great if she could shapeshift with ease and oh yeah, eat solid food again.

Her on again off again relationship with her maker, Jeremy, is on again - even though it is a little on the unsteady side after she slept with Rafe.  But in her defense Glory was possessed by a demon at the time.

Now said demon has shown up on her doorstep and claims to be pregnant - by Rafe and says it happened while she was in possession of Glory’s body.

Great.

If that weren’t enough, super vampire scientist Ian is claiming that Glory was not human before she was turned into a vampire.

If she wasn’t a human - what was she?

Real Vampires Hate Skinny Jeans is another fun installation to a cute and quirky series.  I always enjoy reading about the messes Glory gets herself involved in.

I give Real Vampires Hate Skinny Jeans 4 out of 5 stars.
