My thoughts:
Charlie has finally come into her divine powers - that doesn't mean she knows how to use them correctly. All she does know is that whenever she taps into them - Death shows up. And he usually tries to kick her a$$.
Hank has been taken back to his home world - branded a traitor - and Charlie is determined to bring him back. She tries going thru the proper channels first - but when that doesn't work out she sets off on her own. Or so she thought. When the Oracle shows up and tells Charlie that she is going to help her retrieve Hank - Charlie is surprised to say the least. But for the first time in her life - Charlie decides to take the offered help - and together the two set out to bring Hank home.
A task easier said than done.
I completely enjoyed Shadows Before the Sun and think it is the best installment yet. I give Shadows Before the Sun 4 out of 5 stars.
