Carpe Demon

This is the 1st book in the Demon - Hunting Soccer Mom series by Julie Kenner.

Book Blurb:

Lots of women put their careers aside once the kids come along. Kate Connor, for instance, hasn't hunted a demon in ages.

That must be why she missed the one wandering through the pet food aisle of the San Diablo Wal-Mart. Unfortunately, he managed to catch her attention an hour later-when he crashed into the Connor house, intent on killing her.

Now Kate has to clean up the mess in her kitchen, dispose of a dead demon, and pull together a dinner party that will get her husband elected to County Attorney-all without arousing her family's suspicion. Worse yet, it seems the dead demon didn't come alone...

It's time for Kate Connor to go back to work.

This was a quick, fun read. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the rest of the series.

Kate has a great sense of humor - but she's not really good at managing her time or her money. LOL Jumping back in to the demon hunting business (how being thrown back in, as the case may be) has really but a knot in the every day life of the stay at home Mom. :)

I look forward to seeing if Kate tells her family more about her demon hunting past.

I give this book 3 out of 5 stars.

Hi Michelle!

Sounds like Carpe Demon was really fun! I'm finding so many new books that I'd really enjoy reading. I'll have to look at this series too.

I love the fun covers, they stuck me in everytime.

Dottie,

I was fun - one of those books that doesn't require much thought...just sit back, relax and enjoy. :)

I am so far behind on this series having only read the first two. It always seems to slip under the radar.
