Book Cover & Promo: On the Edge by Ilona Andrews

Rose Drayton lives on the Edge, between the world of the Broken (where people drive cars, shop at Wal-Mart, and magic is a fairy tale) and the Weird (where blueblood aristocrats rule, changelings roam, and the strength of your magic can change your destiny). Only Edgers like Rose can easily travel from one world to the next, but they never truly belong in either.

Rose thought if she practiced her magic, she could build a better life for herself. But things didn’t turn out how she planned, and now she works a minimum wage, off the books job in the Broken just to survive. Then Declan Camarine, a blueblood noble straight out of the deepest part of the Weird, comes into her life, determined to have her (and her power).

But when a terrible danger invades the Edge from the Weird, a flood of creatures hungry for magic, Declan and Rose must work together to destroy them—or they’ll devour the Edge and everyone in it . .

Due out September 29, 2009

Hey Michelle,

There's alot going on in that cover!

I don't read this author, is this book the first in a new series or continue her other series already out? It sounds interesting :).

Amy,

The way I read it - it's first in a new series. :)

I agree with AmyC, definitely a lot going on but I still like it.

I won a set of books from this author's Kate Daniele series on Anna's Blog. I can't wait to read them.

;) VFG

Hi Michelle!
I've read Ilona Andrew's Kate Daniels series (UF) and like very much. Each book in the series (there are three so far) gets progressively better, IMHO. The latest book, Magic Strikes was absolutely fantastic and I'd give it an A!

I see you're reading A Darkness Forged In Fire. I can't wait to hear what you think of it.

On the Edge sounds good, I'm going to keep my eye out for the reviews. I like the name Declan. Don't know why, but it sounds cool.

Hi Christine,

A Darkness Forged in Fire is slow going right now. I'm having a hard time getting draw in. :) I hope it picks up soon.

Donna,

It seems like I've read another book with the name Declan - but I can't remember what it is...and I remember thinking at the time it was a cool name. :)

Thanks for stopping by ladies.

I kept putting off reading the Kate Daniels series, and when I finally read it, I loved it! Curran is on my list of fictional boyfriends and I can't wait for her next book in the series. This new series looks intersting, and if the cover is any indication, it should have a lot going on!
