So I was out and about today and without conscience thought *snicker*, I ended up at the book store. Now I had already been to Wal-Mart - which is where I usually make my book purchases - but despite the nice new overhaul of the store - the book section is sadly lacking in books. Anyone who purchases books at the supercenters know that we can save a dollar or two per book - and when you buy as many books as we readers do, well those dollar or two savings adds up. But Wal-Mart let me down today so I ended up at Bookland and found a couple of books there.
This is an EOS Urban Fantasy and I have had it on my wish list since Doug over at Sci-Fi Guy featured the book cover. :)
Book Blurb:
Since witnessing the murder of her mother, Antoinette Petrescu has burned with fiery hatred for the vampire race - even for Christian Laroque, the noble, dangerously handsome Aeternus who resued her. Now an elite Venator, Antoinette must reluctantly accept Christian's help to achieve her vengeance - even as he plots to use the beautiful, unsuspecting warrior as bait to draw out the bloodthirsty dreniacs.
Sounds good. :)
And then I also picked up this one. It has been on my wish list for a while now. It is a Pocket Books Fantasy.
Book Blurb:
A member of a powerful paranormal family, Kiera Kelly elected to stay among humans in the Texas Hill Country when the rest of the clan moved (lock, stock and grimoire) to Canada. But family duty means still having to keep an eye on cousin Marty - a genetic aberration who turned out 100% human, poor guy. And recently Keira's been having violent dreams - or are they visions? - featuring Marty as the victim of a vicious murder. Something sinister seems to be brewing in little Rio Seco.
I am looking forward to both of these. But alas, they must go on the tbr shelf for now. I have decided to dedicate the month of September to reading and clearing off my YA shelf. :)
Have a wonderful weekend - a 3 day weekend for most of my friends in the US. Labor Day is Monday - stay safe. :)
