Mailbox Monday

These are a few of the books I received last week - most all of the books I receive in the mail are from PaperBackSwap.

Book Blurb:

October 'Toby' Daye, a changeling who is half human and half fae, has been an outsider from birth. After getting burned by both sides of her heritage, Toby has denied the Faerie world, retreating to a 'normal' life. Unfortunately for her, the Faerie world has other ideas.

The murder of Countess Evening Winterrose pulls Toby back into the fae world. Unable to resist Evening's dying curse, which binds her to investigate, Toby must resume her former position as knight errant and renew old alliances. As she steps back into fae society, dealing with a cast of characters not entirely good or evil, she realizes that more than her own life will be forfeited if she cannot find Evening's killer.

Book Blurb:

An unwilling pawn in the plotting of the Rome of Charlemagne's time, Regeane is betrothed by her depraved uncle to an unknown barbarian lord. Unable to refuse lest he betray her as a shape-shifting wolf-woman, she is strangely attracted to a dark wolf prowling outside the city gates.

I am looking forward to both of these books. I have not read anything by either author. :)

Enjoy your Labor Day.

You'll have to let me know how you like The Silver Wolf. I have seen them a lot and wondered what they were like. Especially since Alice Borchardt is sister to Anne Rice.

Anna - Seriously, Alice Borchardt is Anne Rice's sister? Ah, I wonder if the written intrigue talent runs in the family. Definitely food for thought. Can't wait to see what you think Michelle!

A forced marriage and shapeshifter? Who could ask for more in the same story? Silver Wolf looks like a good book - looking forward to your thoughts. And she's Anne Rice's sister? Bonus!

B,

Thanks. :) I found the pic and added the mailbox - I thought it was cute.

Dottie,

I'm looking forward to Rosemary and Rue. :)

Donna,

The Silver Wolf is by Alice Borchardt, who is indeed the sister of Anne Rice. Sadly she died in 2007. I am looking forward to reading her books. :)

Anna,

I am looking forward to it as well. Mama has red the series and she says it's very good. :)

Patti,

Thanks for stopping by. It does seem to have a little intrigue to look forward to. :)

Susi,

Thank you. I hope Rosemary and Rue can live up to all of our expectations. :)

Thank you all for stopping by. :) Have a wonderful day.
