As I sit here I have Food Network playing in the background and it is trying to help me with ideas for all the leftovers I have from Thanksgiving. :) I am fortunate to still have my parents with me and one of my mama's greatest pleasures is cooking for folks who enjoy eating. My family enjoys eating. LOL
This weeks theme: Werewolves
Pack Challenge by Shelley Laurenston - 4 Stars ****
What's an Alpha Male to do when he meets the Alpha Female of
his dreams? Step one, hide all sharp objects.
All Zach Sheridan ever wanted was to become Alpha Male of
his Pack and be left alone. What he definitely didn't need in his life was some
needy female demanding his attention. What he never saw coming was the vicious,
scarred female who not only demanded his attention but knew exactly how to get
it. Sara Morrighan knew this was the best she could expect from her life. Good
friends. A nice place to live. And a safe job. But when Zach rode into her
small Texas town with his motorcycle club, Sara knew she wanted more. She knew she
wanted him. But after one sexy encounter with her dream biker, everything is
starting to change. Her body. Her strength. That new thing she's doing with the
snarling. Even her best friends are starting to wonder what's going on with
her.
But this is only the beginning. Sara's about to find out her
life was meant for so much more. And Zach's about to find true love with the
one woman who makes him absolutely insane.
Her Viking Wolf by Theodora Taylor - 4 Stars ****
When Chloe Adams was four, her shiftless shifter parents
abandoned her on the side of the road. But now she’s reinvented herself as a
DIY domestic goddess, and she’s engaged to the most eligible alpha in Colorado
–- that is until a huge, red-haired, time-traveling Viking werewolf shows up to
claim her as his fated mate.
Wait… what?!?!
Misfit Pack by Stephanie Foxe - 4 Stars ****
A redhead with a drawl, a lawyer with pink hair, and a
homeless seventeen-year-old have no business forming a pack.
In a world where magic is commonplace, and your neighbor is
just as likely to be an elf as a troll, three humans are unwillingly changed
into werewolves.
Unprepared and unwanted.
The pack may have chosen Amber as their Alpha, but that’s
not a title she is supposed to have. In order to be legally recognized as an
Alpha she must pass the Trials, and it won’t be easy. If she fails, her pack
will be disbanded and forced into a halfway house for bitten werewolves, aka
The System.
But the pack needs a sponsor in order to even enter the
Trials.
With everything to lose, the brand new pack must learn to
work together before it’s too late.
Dark Wolf Rising by Stephanie Rowe - 3 Stars ***
A decade ago, wolf shifter Cash Burns severed all ties to
his past in order to protect his best friend, the childhood sweetheart he has
never forgotten. When she's targeted for assassination by his pack on Christmas
Eve, he's the only one who can save her…but at a cost greater than he can
afford.
Haunted by a tragic secret, Brynn McKenzie has been fighting
for survival, alone in a world she doesn't fit. She's on the run for her life,
forced to choose between redemption and survival. She has nowhere to turn,
until the man who walked away from her so long ago appears in her hotel room
with a knife and a promise she can't afford to believe.
When passion ignites between Bryn and Cash, will it shatter
what little hope they have for survival, or make them stronger than they ever
thought they'd be?
Moon Hunted by Jennifer Snyder - 3 Stars ***
Someone is hunting the Mirror Lake Wolves...
The woods of Mina's hometown are no longer safe. Glenn has
been abducted and now so has another from the pack. Guilt eats at Mina because
the one missing should have been her.
In fact, it was supposed to be.
Determined to find the young werewolf taken in her place,
Mina and Eli go on a hunt. They hope to find Glenn along the way, but instead,
discover the length they will go to ensure their own safety as well as the
members of their pack.
That's my week. I hope you are reading something wonderful.
For my US visitors, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving with your family and friends.
