Hunting Season by Shelley Laurenston- 4 Stars ****

The Last Valkyrie by Jennifer Sage - 3 Stars ***
A Valkyrie genocide 250 years ago wiped out the warriors of
the Gods, the only messengers that could travel freely to Asgard and Valhalla
other than the Gods themselves. At the same time, a cursed black magick sealed
them there until Ragnarok concluded and all the Gods and the realms were
obliterated, so new ones can rise to the unclaimed thrones.
Kara was an unrecorded birth on Midgard, and has been hidden
by the Dragon she’d give her very soul to ever since the death of her race. Her
love for Zane is a bottomless well, and even though his mate died in the
genocide protecting her kind, she can’t stop what she feels. She can’t control

Rogue by Tonya Coffey - 3 Stars ***
Clytie, a Valkyrie, finds herself questioning Odin's orders
when Psyche comes for a shape-shifting panther, Storm. He rescues Clytie from a
giant and something inside of her changes. A spark ignites, triggering an
emotion Valkyries are forbidden to experience. Following her new feelings, she
turns her back on all she knows to be with Storm. However, she knows it's only
a matter of time before Odin puts a price on their heads.
Odin furious with his Valkyrie for disobeying him, and proving
the Well right, accepts the War is coming and Clytie will be the goddess who
dethrones him, unless her sister stops her first.
